Allow serum to clot in an upright position for 1 hour. Centrifuge serum or plasma and pour (do not pipette) the serum aliquot into a acid-washed, metal-free tube. | |

Refrigerated (preferred). Room temperature or frozen specimen also acceptable. | |
Specimen stability: |
Room Temperature: 4 days. Refrigerated: 14 days. Frozen: 1 month. | |
