For patients receiving high biotin doses, wait until 8 hours after last dose.

Allow serum to clot. Centrifuge to separate serum or plasma within 2 hours of collection.

Refrigerated (preferred) or frozen.

Room temperature: 5 days. Refrigerated: 1 week. Frozen: 1 year.
Rejection criteria:
Stability limits exceeded.
