Dr. Wilkerson is the Director of Laboratory Medicine for GML's Northeast
Region. She leads the combined pathology doctoral staff at Geisinger South
Wilkes-Barre
(GSWB) and Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV) Medical Centers and serves as the
medical director of the hospital laboratories at GSWB and GWV. She also serves
as Vice Chairman of the Division of Laboratory Medicine for the Geisinger
Health System.
Education:
She received her M.D. from Marshall University School of Medicine in Huntington, West Virginia. She completed her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology as well as a fellowship in cytopathology at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania.
Certifications:
Dr. Wilkerson is board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. Her areas of specialization are genitourinary pathology, cytopathology, and hematopathology.
Research interests:
Cryptorchidism, cervical cytology, informatics, and tissue microarrays.
