Dr. Wilkerson is the Director of Laboratory Medicine for GML's Northeast Region. She leads the combined pathology doctoral staff at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre (GSWB) and Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV) Medical Centers and serves as the medical director of the hospital laboratories at GSWB and GWV.


Education:

She received her M.D. from Marshall University School of Medicine in Huntington, West Virginia. She completed her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology as well as a fellowship in cytopathology at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania.

Certifications:

Dr. Wilkerson is board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. Her areas of specialization are genitourinary pathology, cytopathology, and hematopathology.

Research interests:

Cryptorchidism, cervical cytology, informatics, and tissue microarrays.
