John Yurko
Geisinger Medical Laboratories' Senior Director

John Yurko is a graduate of St. Joseph's College/Franklin School of Arts and Sciences, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and performed clinical internships in medical technology at Metropolitan Hospital, Philadelphia, and Wyoming Valley Hospital in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

Mr.Yurko has over 30 years' experience in laboratory management serving in the following capacities: Registered Medical Technologist, Laboratory Supervisor, Laboratory Manager, Administrator and Senior Director of Laboratory Medicine. This experience includes both hospital and commercial laboratory operations.

John's current responsibilities include administration of laboratory operations at the GML's Eastern hub. He is a member of the Clinical Laboratory Management Association (CLMA) and the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC).
