|
Clinical significance: |
Anti-Xa agents exerts their anticoagulant activity predominantly by greatly increasing the activity of plasma antithrombin III (ATIII). Enhancement of antithrombin III increases it F Xa inhibition activity, which is used to assess the anticoagulant activity o anti Xa agents. The chromogenic anti-Xa method is the assay of choice for determining the plasma concentration of Arixtra against calibration curve prepared from Arixtra. |
