Specimen required: 

1.5 mL aliquot of serum or plasma; minimum 0.5 mL.



SPECIMEN PROCESSING
Processing instructions: 

Centrifuge and transfer serum or plasma specimens to clean, plastic, screw-capped vial(s). Transport on refrigerant coolant.


Transport temperature: 

Refrigerated.


Specimen stability: 

Room Temperature: 7 days. Refrigerated: 14 days. Frozen: 21 days.


Rejection criteria: 

Room temperature specimens unstable. Frozen specimens unacceptable.
