Specimen required:
1 mL aliquot of serum; minimum 0.5 mL.
SPECIMEN PROCESSING
Processing instructions:
Centrifuge, avoid hemolysis, pour, and transfer serum or plasma specimens to clean, plastic, screw-capped vial(s). Transport refrigerated (cold packs) or frozen on dry ice. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
Transport temperature:
Room temperature.
Specimen stability:
Room Temperature: 7 days. Refrigerated: 14 days. Frozen: 90 days.
Rejection criteria:
Grossly lipemic samples are unacceptable and will be rejected.
