5 mL of urine; minimum 1 mL.



SPECIMEN PROCESSING
Transport temperature: 

Refrigerated (preferred). Room temperature or frozen specimen also acceptable.


Specimen stability: 

Room temperature: 2 days. Refrigerated: 6 days. Frozen: 6 months.


Rejection criteria: 

Stability limits exceeded. Specimens containing preservatives (other than HCl) are not acceptable. Acidified specimens ARE acceptable.
