1 mL (minimum 0.7 mL) CSF


Special notes: 

Can only be collected into 2.5 mL Sarstedt low-bind CSF tube.  Collect before noon.



SPECIMEN PROCESSING
Transport temperature: 

Refrigerated.


Specimen stability: 

Room temperature: 5 days. Refrigerated: 14 days. Frozen: 56 days.


Rejection criteria: 

Room temperature specimen. Stability limits exceeded.  Not collected in Sarstedt low-bind CSF tube.
