2 mL aliquot of serum; minimum 1 mL.
Special notes:
Centrifuge within 30 minutes of collection.
Patient preparation:
Overnight fasting is preferred.

Allow to clot. Centrifuge and aliquot.
Transport temperature:
Room temperature (preferred). Refrigerated or frozen specimen also acceptable.
Specimen stability:
Room Temperature: 7 days. Refrigerated: 21 days. Frozen: 21 days.
Rejection criteria:
Stability limits exceeded.
