SPECIMEN PROCESSING
Processing instructions:
Serum must be separated from whole blood within 48 hours of collection.
Transport temperature:
Refrigerated.
Specimen stability:
Room temperature: 72 hours, Refrigerated: 28 days, Frozen: 28 days.
Rejection criteria:
Gross hemolysis. Grossly lipemic. Grossly icteric. Turbid. Bacterial contamination.
