Preferred collection container:

6 mL red-top (plain, non-serum separator) tube
Specimen required: 

1 mL frozen serum, minimum 0.5 mL


Special notes: 

This test requires a separate frozen aliquot. It cannot be combined with other testing.


Patient preparation: 

Overnight fasting for a minimum of 12 hours is required.
