3 mL lavender-top (K2 EDTA) tube
Specimen required: 

1 mL serum (preferred) or plasma; minimum 0.3 mL.


Special notes: 

Do not collect in polymer gel separation tube (SST® or PST).



SPECIMEN PROCESSING
Processing instructions: 

Promptly centrifuge and separate serum or plasma into a plastic screw-capped vial using approved guidelines.


Transport temperature: 

Room temperature.


Specimen stability: 

Room temperature: 30 days. Refrigerated: 30 days. Frozen: 25 months.


Rejection criteria: 

Polymer gel separation tube (SST® or PST)
