Draw specimen between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Do not collect in gel tube.

Centrifuge and aliquot.


Transport temperature: 

Refrigerated (cold packs).


Specimen stability: 

Room temperature: 72 hours. Refrigerated: 14 days. Frozen: 90 days.


Rejection criteria: 

Serum Separator Tubes (SST®) • Received room temperature • Moderate hemolysis
