Specimen type: 

EDTA whole blood in Renasight Kit OR Saliva in Renasight Kit


Preferred collection container: 
Specimen required: 

One (1) full 6 mL Lavender Top - K2 EDTA tube OR buccal swab (included in Renasight kidney gene panel box kit)


Special notes: 

Provider must supply patient with a Renasight kidney gene panel box kit, to include a 6 mL lavender tube (OR buccal swab collected by patient). Completely fill and gently invert 6 mL lavender tube.



SPECIMEN PROCESSING
Processing instructions: 

Return all contents to provided kit and send with courier to Referred Testing for processing. Do not place kit in FedEx pack, kit will be packaged for FedEx and placed for pickup by Referred team.


Transport temperature: 

Room temperature.


Specimen stability: 

Ship overnight. Reference lab will determine viability.
