1 mL aliquot of serum; minimum 0.5 mL. Please submit a separate frozen aliquot for this test. It may not be combined with any other test requiring a frozen aliquot.
Avoid hemolysis and lipemia.
For optimal results, patient should fast overnight.
Centrifuge within 1 hour of collection and transfer serum specimens to sterile, plastic, screw-capped vial(s). Transport frozen on dry ice. Samples may be thawed and refrozen up to 3X without affecting results.

Room Temperature: Unacceptable. Refrigerated: 24 hours. Frozen: 3 weeks (-20°).
Stability limits exceeded.

Females: 8 - 32 ng/mL
Pediatric Reference Ranges
5-9 Years: 47 - 142ng/mL
10-13 Years: 49 - 167 ng/mL
Males: 14-17 Years: 26 - 203 ng/mL
Females : 14-17 Years: 14 - 85 ng/mL
