Specimen required: 

1 mL aliquot of fluid; minimum 0.5 mL.



SPECIMEN PROCESSING
Processing instructions: 

Centrifuge to remove any cellular material.


Transport temperature: 

Refrigerated (preferred). Room temperature or frozen specimen also acceptable.


Specimen stability: 

Room temperature: 1 day. Refrigerated: 1 week. Frozen: 1 month.


Rejection criteria: 

Stability limits exceeded.
