Specimen required:
One (1) full 3.5 mL gold-top serum separator tube. Aliquot also acceptable (0.5 mL minimum).
Special notes:
If collecting specimen in microcollection tubes collect 3 FULL serum separator microcollection tubes.
SPECIMEN PROCESSING
Processing instructions:
Allow serum to clot. Centrifuge to separate serum within 2 hours of collection.
Transport temperature:
Refrigerated (preferred) or frozen.
Specimen stability:
Refrigerated: 3 days. Frozen (-20°C): 1 month. Freeze only once.
Rejection criteria:
Stability limits exceeded.
