1 mL aliquot of serum, frozen; minimum 0.2 mL for adults. Please submit a separate frozen aliquot for this test. It may not be combined with any other test requiring a frozen aliquot.
SPECIMEN PROCESSING
Processing instructions:
Allow to clot. Centrifuge 10 minutes at 3000 rpm.
Transport temperature:
Frozen (preferred) or refrigerated.
Specimen stability:
Room temperature: Unacceptable. Refrigerated: 1 week. Frozen: 2 weeks.
Rejection criteria:
Room temperature specimens are not acceptable.
