The TWO (2) URINE ALIQUOTS PROVIDED IN THE KIT MUST BE SUBMITTED. NO OTHER ALIQUOTS PERMITTED. See processing instructions below.
Container supplied by Quest Diagnostics. Mix specimen vigorously before aliquoting. This testing cannot be combined with any other urine testing. For High Urine Output: Patient with a high urine output (greater than 3.8 L) will require more than one large container. Collect urine in the first container until it is 3/4 full and then begin filling the second container to complete the 24-hour collection. Carefully fill a set of the supplied aliquot bottles for each jug and mark one as box 1 of 2 and the other box 2 of 2.
These urines need to be processed immediately upon reciept. Vigorously mix the 24 hour urine collection by shaking the jug for a full 60 seconds. After 60 seconds of vigorous shaking, pour the urine into the two aliqout bottles provided with the kit. Be careful not to mix up the lids from each bottle. The two bottles are unique and must have the correct lid placed back onto them.

Room Temperature: 10 days. Refrigerated: 10 days. Frozen: Unacceptable.
Specimen received frozen. Specimen received after 10 days from the collection date.
