Allow serum to clot at room temperature. Centrifuge serum or plasma at 1000 g within 2 hours of collection. Transfer to metal-free aliquot tube available from Referred Tests. Pour plasma or serum into aliquot. Do not use plastic transfer pipettes! | |

Room Temperature: 5 days. Refrigerated: 10 days. Frozen: 30 days. | |

Hemolysis • Plasma or serum not separated from cells within 2 hours • Samples submitted in non-trace element or non-acid washed containers | |
