Allow blood to clot. Centrifuge and immediately separate serum or plasma specimens from the cells into clean, plastic, screw-capped vial(s). Freeze and ship frozen. Specimens must be kept frozen. If specimens are not kept frozen, this may cause lower or negative result values. | |

Rejection criteria: |
Room temperature and refrigerated specimens unstable and will be rejected. Serum separator tubes not acceptable. | |
