SPECIMEN PROCESSING
Specimen processing instructions:
Allow serum to clot. Centrifuge to separate serum or plasma within 2 hours of collection. 
Transport temperature:
Refrigerated (preferred). Room temperature or frozen specimens also acceptable.
Specimen stability:
Room temperature: Serum 8 hours. Plasma 2 days. Refrigerated: Serum 2 days. Plasma 3 days. Frozen: 6 months.
Rejection criteria:
Hemolysis or lipemia.
